Pastor Patricia came to Frontier United Methodist Church in August of 2022. Previously, she practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 25 years.
In 2015, Pastor Patricia was diagnosed with breast cancer. During the chemotherapy, she prayed to God almost non-stop for guidance as to what she was to do with her life. God guided her to become a Pastor. After finishing her master’s degree in divinity, she is now pursuing ordination to become an elder in the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Patricia has always been a Christian. She remembers when her mother died in 1969, she was very angry at God. Why would God take a mother? During prayer at that time (yes, she was only 6 years old) she agreed with God that now, God would have to take care of her. And so, through growing up, high school, college, and medical school, she relied on God for guidance and perseverance. She has always been active in whatever Church she attends.
In 1999, she met Patrick Saunders. They have twin daughters, Morgan, and Taylor. In Pastor Patricia’s free time she enjoys reading, knitting, being outside, listening to music, playing flute, and walking their dog, Calvin.
