The Encounter Weekend is a time to get away from the schedules and demands of our daily lives to spend time focused in on our relationship with God. It's about 30 hours in duration, with time for worship, reading The Word, prayer, contemplation, and hearing messages given by others on the journey of faith. It is a time to really turn and face the freedom we have because of our God and what He and His Son have done for us. Sometimes our minds move so quickly and it is a struggle to find the time to sit and really consider where and how to move the blocks that keep us from being fully alive in Christ. For many who come to the Encounter weekend God plants seeds that lead to Christ centered transformation. However, each person that comes has a unique experience, one that we believe God planned for.
During the retreat you can:
- Rediscover the joy of what Jesus did for you on the cross.
- Break free from anything blocking you from becoming who God wants you to be.
- Experience a taste of authentic spiritual community.
Our next Encounter Weekend is March 13-14, 2009 at St. Malo Retreat Center near Estes Park, Colorado. The weekend begins at 5:00 pm Friday with supper at the Frontier building, and ends back at Frontier at about 10:00 Saturday night. This incredible overnight retreat costs the church $80 per person. Please donate what you can afford. This includes:
