Volunteer with Frontier

In the Cheyenne Community

Frontier supports organizations that are greatly important to the Cheyenne community. Below are a few volunteer opportunities we are currently involved in.

Family Promise is an organization focused on supporting homeless families. They are housed for a week at a time in local churches or stay in Family Promise housing. We are pleased to provide the funding and support necessary to help with crisis, shelter, and case management. Many individuals in the Church volunteer to provide meals to families in the program. We also provide funds to support their stabilization program which ensures families remain independent once they have secured housing.

The St. Joseph’s Food Pantry aims to help the Laramie County community by providing an essential function of life: Food. The donations help children, women, veterans, and many others! At Frontier we are currently collecting nonperishable food items to donate to the food pantry. If you are interested in donating, we have two bins placed by the front door to collect items.

In the Frontier Church

Frontier could not function without the support of Church members and the community. Below are a few volunteer oppurtunies you can get involved in to help Frontier!

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! This group currently meets September – June on Monday’s at 6:00 pm in the Music Room. Anyone is welcome to come and learn to play bells.

Greet arriving individuals at the door by saying “hello” and opening the door. Three greeters each Sunday are responsible for greeting others, handing out bulletins, and completing the attendance sheet. Then, they will take up the offering during service and bring it up to the altar.

Conduct public worship and care for the congregation by leading small groups and assisting in program leadership. Lay Ministers may preach, make announcements, conduct prayers, and much more! Visit with the Pastor regarding the courses that are required to join Lay Ministry.

Join this group of individuals in counting and recording any donations, offerings and tithes collected from the offering plate. They meet every Sunday after service.

Have a green thumb or love plants? We have a variety of plants within the Church building. Help grow and care for plants within our Church! If you have knowledge about plants and would like to volunteer please reach out to Jan Hertel.

Time spent with God in prayer is time well spent. Join a group text with members of the congregation to pray. This group will share prayer requests and commit to pray for needs as they arise.
